3 Days Queen Elizabeth Tour

This 3 days Uganda wildlife safari to Queen Elizabeth National Park combines the magical wildlife encounters, recreational boat cruise along the 45 kilometer long Kazinga channel and an optional chimpanzee trekking at Kyambura gorge. Over 100 mammal species and 606 distinct birdlife are all confined within this protected area some of which include the huge Elephants, Buffaloes, and  hippos, forest hogs and several Uganda Kobs that are easily spotted around the villages near Mweya peninsular that features the stunning waterfront locale within the shadows of mountain Rwenzori.  Queen Elizabeth’s Southern sector, The Ishasha sector is credited for its classic Game viewing Experiences in search for the rare tree climbing lions, the Maramagambo forest offers refuge to several monkeys and birdlife, crater lakes that hold several pink flamingoes while the Kyambura Gorge comes with several chimpanzees.

Queen Elizabeth National Park is Uganda’s Popular and diverse Conservation Area. The Park lies on the Rift Valley Flow, Surrounded by Lake, Escarpments and snow Capped Rwenzori Mountain, with a variety of Habitats, including grassland, acacia woodland, Forest, wetland and Open water sustains a wide range of mammals while the parks’s 604 bird species is a quite remarkable tally for a protected Area covering less than 2000KmSq

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Transfer from Kampala to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Following breakfast in the morning from your hotel in Kampala, you will be picked by one of our experienced and well trained driver guide ready to set off to Queen Elizabeth National Park in Western Uganda. You will have a stopover at the Equator for photo taking with one leg in the southern hemisphere while the other in the northern hemisphere. And a water experiment will be carried out to justify the geographical divide between the 2 hemispheres. There are craft centers at the site where you can access some souvenirs for remembrance of your tour in Uganda. After, you will proceed to Igongo cultural center about 12 kilometers to Mbarara for your mouth watering meal where you will be offered authentic African cuisine at the popular Kahwa Kanuzire restaurant and then after set off for Queen Elizabeth National Park in the evening for your relaxation, dinner and overnight stay at

Day 2: Game viewing in the morning and afternoon Kazinga Channel Launch Cruise
Early morning breakfast and thereafter set off for your exciting game drive around the Kasenyi sector to view a variety of wildlife species like elephants, Uganda Kobs, water bucks, buffaloes, Lions, bush bucks, spotted hyenas, leopards and many more as well as birdlife especially the African white backed vulture, hooded vulture, Rupell’s griffon vulture, brown snake eagle, martial eagle, palm nut vulture, lappet faced vulture, Senegal plover, African wattled plover, black bellied bustard, temminck’s courser, crowned plover and many more.

As well, you will also enjoy the clear view of the most vast savanna grassland and after you will be driven back to your lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, you will again set off to Mweya for an afternoon boat cruise that starts at 2:00 pm. The launch cruise allows you to encounter the haven of hippos as well as Nile crocodiles, birdlife like the African skimmer, yellow billed stork and King Fishers and many others as well as other wildlife species that you will sight along the channel side. After, you will return to the lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay as above.

Day 3: Game viewing or optional chimpanzee tracking at Kyambura Gorge and return to Kampala
Get up for your early morning breakfast and thereafter set off for yet another exciting morning wildlife viewing where you will sight those that you had missed on your previous game drive and after, drive back to Kampala. Alternatively, you can set off for chimpanzee tracking in Kyambura Gorge where you slope down a Gorge of 100 meters deep with views of magical stunning mature tropical forest below sea level that stretches from the Kichwamba Escarpment to the Kazinga Channel which is home to chimpanzees. Hiking through the gorge’s steep slope while looking for chimpanzees is a bit challenging but rewards with astonishing encounters of our close relatives in the wild. After you will set off for Kampala and on your Arrival transfer to Lodge / Airport for outbound Flight Home!.
