4 Days Uganda Wildlife Safari

The 4 days gorilla and wildlife safari in Uganda is carried out in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park and the Uganda safari destination of Queen Elizabeth National Park Southwest part of the country. Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is credited for its mountain gorillas which represent about half of the world population.

It comprises of thick forest undergrowth with mature trees that make up the canopy while standing on the rugged landscape with deep saddles that combine to justify it as an “Impenetrable forest.” This natural setting is ideal for the mountain gorilla tracking as well as birding. Your 4 days mountain gorilla and wildlife safari in Uganda also comes with the Uganda Safari destination of Queen Elizabeth National Park which stretches over the western arm if the Great East African Rift Valley and covers about 1978 square kilometers overlooking the mystical Rwenzori Mountains.

This protected area offers refuge to more than 620 birdlife, the 95 species of mammals, the stunning 45 kilometers long Kazinga linking Lake George and Edward, Ishasha area with its rare tree climbing lions, the Kyambura gorge which offers refuge to wild chimpanzees and the spectacular scenic Katwe explosion crater. Day 1: Transfer from Kampala to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park

Day 1: Transfer from Kampala to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park
Early in the morning after your breakfast from your respective hotel in Kampala, you will be picked by driver guide at around 7:00am and head to southwestern Uganda. You will have a stopover at Equator for land mark photography and then proceed to Mbarara. You will have lunch and later continue to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park which offers refuge to the rare mountain gorillas where half of the world’s populations are all found in this incredible park. You will head south to Buhoma viewing the terraced hills of Kigezi highlands once described as the Switzerland of Africa. Arrive at Buhoma in the evening where you will check in your lodge for rest, dinner and overnight stay at Buhoma community bandas, Bwindi view bandas, Nkuringo campsite, Virunga Hotel for budget; Nkuringo camp site, Wagtail Eco lodge, Shongi Gorilla Resort for midrange; Lake Kitandara Lodge, Mahogany Springs Lodge, Gorilla Resort Camp, Silverback Lodge, Gorilla Safari Lodge for luxury.

Day 2 Gorilla trekking in Bwindi National Park
After your morning breakfast you will head to the park headquarters for briefing where you will be assigned a gorilla family to track in a group of eight tourists. The trek many take one to eight hours and only one hour is given to you to be with the mountain gorillas, exploring their behavior and also take as many photos as you can. After your magical encounter, you will return to your respective lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Transfer from Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Breakfast in the morning and after set off for Ishasha sector, South of Queen Elizabeth National Park for a game drive where you will chance to view the rare tree climbing lions and also several wildlife species such as Elephants, Buffaloes, Hyena and many more. This sector is dominated by acacia woodland and scrubland and has meandering Ishasha river banked by a riparian forest. Thereafter, you will head to Mweya peninsular where you will have a boat cruise along the Kazinga channel and have opportunity to view the largest school of hippos and not to forget crocodiles as well as water bird species. After, you will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay at Mweya Safari Lodge and Katara Lodge for luxury, Albertine Camp, Farmland Resort for budget; Hippo hill camp, Simba safari lodge, buffalo safari lodge, bush lodge for moderate.

Day 4: Transfer from Queen Elizabeth National Park back to Kampala
Following breakfast in the morning, you set off for Kampala but you will do chimpanzee tracking at Kyambura Gorge and after proceed to Kampala with your packed lunch. You will arrive Kampala in the evening and this will mark the end of your four days gorilla wildlife safari in Uganda
