A 12 days Uganda wildlife safari provides you a chance to catch a glimpse of numerous biodiversity, sceneries and cultural encounters that describe this country as the “pearl of Africa.” The 12 days safari in Uganda takes you through mountain gorilla and chimpanzee adventures in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park and Kibale Forest National Park respectively. Full Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival to Kampala
You will be picked up from Entebbe International Airport by our experienced driver guide who will then take you to your preferred lodge or hotel in Kampala. You will catch a glimpse on the cold breeze of Lake Victoria which features as the second largest fresh water body in the world. After, you will have a city tour in Kampala where you will visit the Kasubi tombs, the Bahia temple and after return to the hotel of your choice for dinner and overnight stay at:

  • Luxury Accommodation: Protea Hotel Kampala, Sheraton Hotel, Emin Pasha.
  • Midrange Accommodation: Golf Course Hotel, Forest Cottages.
  • Budget Accommodation: Namirembe Guest House, ICU Guest House.

Day 2: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park with a stop at Zziwa rhino sanctuary for rhino tracking.
Following breakfast in the morning, you will be picked up from the hotel in Kampala ready to set off to Murchison Falls National Park Northwest of Uganda where you will make a stopover at the Zziwa rhino sanctuary for rhino tracking. You will have an hour tracking the rhinos and after proceed to Murchison Falls National Park where you will head to the top of the falls to view the most powerful waterfalls as it squeezes itself into a 7 meter gorge. Relaxation, dinner and overnight stay at:

Day 3: Game drives in the morning and boat cruise in the afternoon, Murchison Falls National Park
Following breakfast in the morning at your preferred lodge, you will set off to Murchison Falls National Park one of the best safari destinations in Uganda. You head to the Northern bank of the mighty River Nile for your early morning wildlife viewing where you will catch a glimpse at the elephants, hartebeest, buffaloes, leopards, lions, giraffes and several birds. After you will return to the lodge for rest and lunch and later embark on boat cruise to the might Murchison falls. Along the Nile you will catch a glimpse of hippos, crocodiles and several water birds. After, you will return to the lodge of your choice where you spent a night in the previous day.

Day 4: Depart to Kibale Forest National Park
Breakfast in the morning in your preferred lodge and after you will set off to Kibale Forest National Park. Kibale National Park offers refuge to over 13 primate species including over 1500 chimpanzees which it the primate paradise in East Africa. You will check in your preferred lodge for dinner and overnight stay at:

Day 5: Chimpanzee trekking in Kibale National Park
Early in the morning, you will have breakfast in the lodge of your choice and after set off for briefing in Kanyanchu visitor center. Chimpanzee tracking takes about 2 to 3 hours and this also comes with exciting views of the black and white colobus monkeys, red tailed monkeys, butterflies, birdlife and many more species. You will have an hour of face to face encounter with the chimpanzees and after return to the lodge for lunch and then set off to Bigodi village and wetland to view the abundant birdlife and primates. After, you will return to your lodge of choice where spent your previous night.

Day 6: Depart to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Breakfast in the morning and after you will proceed to Queen Elizabeth National Park for wildlife encounters along the Kasenyi sector where you will catch a glimpse of African elephants, lions, leopards, antelope family, buffaloes and many more. You will also have spectacular views of the mystical Rwenzori Mountain range along the way. Upon arrival, you will be amazed with spectacular views of several wildlife species as you continue to the lodge for lunch.

After lunch, you have an afternoon a memorial launch cruise along the Kazinga channel that extends to Lake Edward and Lake George. The Launch cruise gives you a chance to take amazing photos as you enjoy the views of crocodiles, hippos as well as elephants on land. Dinner and overnight stay at:

Day 7: Game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park
Breakfast in the morning and after you will set off for an early morning game viewing along the Kasenyi sector. While on your safari, expect to catch a glimpse of elephants, Uganda Kobs, Waterbucks, Buffaloes, Lions and many ore species. After, continue to the Ishasha area South of Queen Elizabeth National Park to look out for the rare tree climbing lions. Return to the lodge for Dinner and Overnight as above.

Day 8: Depart to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park
Breakfast in the morning and after, you will set off to Southwest of Uganda-Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park which offers refuge to over half of the rare mountain gorillas that still thrive on earth. Along the way you will view the stunning Kigezi Highlands that come with spectacular sceneries of terraced hills. You will check into your preferred lodge for dinner and overnight stay at:

Day 9: Gorilla tracking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park
Following breakfast in the morning, you will set off to the sector where your tracking permit is destined for briefing from the park official on dos and don’ts of gorilla trekking. Bwindi has four major trailheads each of which comes with habituated gorilla families for you to track. They include the Buhoma, Ruhija, Rushaga and Nkuringo sector. Besides tracking mountain gorillas, you will also catch a glimpse of the bird species, mammals and other primates. The trek usually takes about 1 to 8 hours or more depending on which gorilla group is assigned to you, the altitude of the area and the your physical wellness. Later return to the Lodge for dinner and Overnight.

Day 10: Depart to Lake Mburo National Park
Breakfast in the morning in your respective lodge and after, you will be transferred by our experienced driver guide to transfer to Lake Mburo National Park. Stopover at Igongo cultural center for lunch and proceed to Lake Mburo National Park for evening boat cruise or game drive. After, return to the lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay at:

Day 11: Drive back to Kampala and continue to Jinja
Following an early morning breakfast, you will have an early morning wildlife viewing in Lake Mburo National Park to sight the early morning risers and then proceed through Kampala to Jinja, the renowned adrenaline capital of East Africa. There will be a brief stopover at Uganda Equator along the Masaka-Mbarara route where you will take photos and purchase some souvenirs. After, proceed to Kampala and connect to Jinja where you will check into the lodge of your choice for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay at

Day 12: White water rafting on the River Nile in Jinja 
After breakfast in the morning, you will gather at the starting point for your breathtaking adventure on the mighty River Nile. The source of River Nile is entirely situated around Jinja making it the adventure capital of East Africa. Enjoy the white water rafting activity which features as one of the most thrilling adventures that you shouldn’t miss out on in life. Enjoy a Grade Five Adrenaline Rafting Adventure, Later you will be transferred back to the Airport for your Flight Home.
