4 Days Uganda Wildlife and Gorilla Safari Adventure

This 4 Days Uganda Wildlife and Gorilla Safari Adventure takes you to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest to encounter the Endangered Rare Mountain Gorilla and Lake Mburo National Park for you to get the Chance of tracking and being close to the Mountain Gorillas in their Natural Habitat while in the Jungle and Viewing Widlife species upclose such as Topi, Eland, Zebra which are rarely seen in Other National Parks of Uganda. While in Lake Mburo, Game drives with a network of Game tracks to explore a variety of Savana animals and a variety of birds including the Pelican, Heron and Fish eagle and perhaps the rare Finfoot and shoebill. There are a couple of activities engaged in Lake Mburo National Park and these include; Horse riding, fishing, guided nature walks, education conservation Centre.

Day 1: Transfer from Kampala to Lake Mburo National Park, Afternoon Boat Cruise on Lake Mburo.

Day 2: Morning Game drive, Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

Day 3: Gorilla Trekking Safari, afternoon Community Walk

Detailed Itinerary

DAY 1: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park and an Afternoon Boat cruise on Lake Mburo

Early in the Morning after breakfast, you will be picked up from your hotel by our experienced driver Guide who will transfer you by road through a 228Km journey  to Lake Mburo National park. This is one of Uganda’s newest National Parks south west wards of Uganda next to Mbarara town and it covers around 370 square kilometers. It is about 3.5 hours’ drive from Kampala. The park is accessed from the Masaka – Mbarara High way through the Nshara gate past Lyantonde leading you through Sanga gate. On the way to its destination encounter a glance of the beautiful vegetation scenery and enjoy Uganda the pearl of Africa arriving at the Park for lunch and relaxation. In the afternoon enjoy a boat ride in Lake Mburo where you will enjoy seeing Hippos, Crocodiles, bird species like African King Fisher, Fish Eagles, Pelicans, and Crested Cranes. DAY 2: Morning Game drive in Lake Mburo National Park – Transfer to Bwindi National Park

Early morning after breakfast, go for a game drive with chances of seeing Warthogs, Elands, Uganda kob, Buffaloes and many birds’ species. Its unique acacia-associated bird species population includes the rare Shoebill stork and it’s sculptured landscape with overlapping grassy hills and beautiful lake shores is a supply to forest animal galleries. Later we transfer to Mabarara Town for your lunch at Lake View Hotel Mbarara \ Igongo Cultural Museum for your Lunch and proceed directly to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park through the terraced hills of Kabale. DAY 3: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

Take a cup of tea very early in the morning punctually should be emphasized and report to the ranger station for registration and instructions on how to trek the gorillas in the jungle. With walking sticks make your way through the undergrowth, parting thick creepers of plants, to track the gorillas as guided by the ranger. The search for the Gorillas take between 1-6 Hours and on finding them Sit in the forest among the gorillas listening to them grumble to each other and marvel at their leader who is the dominant male; the silverback. A lot of energy is needed for this activity but no worry about it anyone can make it once the tour guide is besides you.

In the afternoon enjoy a Community tour to the Batwa, people who are one of the last groups of short-statured people also known as ‘pygmy’ people, and until Bwindi Rainforest was gazetted as a National Park they lived a hunter gather lifestyle in the forest. They are now some of the poorest people in the world with a high infant mortality rate and low life expectancy. These People live closely to Bwindi National Park and have numerous activities like gathering honey and food

You may also choose to take a guided walk on the Munyaga River trail that leads to three delightful crystal clear waterfalls to see butterflies if need be and arranged earlier if the time is not against you, birds and primates from the forest fringes can also be observed. Overnight as above.

DAY 4: Return to Kampala

Morning after breakfast embark on your journey driving back to Kampala and make a stopover at Mbarara town for lunch. You will have another stop at the Equator for photographs and later arrive in Kampala on time for your transfer to your hotel or transfer to the Airport for your flight back home.
