The 2 days gorilla safari will commence and end in Kigali. Taking you to Rwanda’s Volcanoes National Park including one Gorilla trekking Permit included in the cost. Gorilla trekking in Rwanda is conducted in Volcanoes National Park in the Northwestern part of the country which offers refuge to over 62 percent of all the mountain gorillas that thrive within the Virunga Mountains.
This protected area has ten habituated gorilla groups for visitors to track each day in the groups of eight people. A face to face encounter with these wild creatures is the most thrilling and unforgettable experience that comes once in a life time. There are also about 178 avian species some of which can be sighted along mountain gorilla trekking. Rwanda is undoubtedly one of the best holiday destinations in Africa and it is credited for gorilla trekking safaris. As well, you can visit the Kigali genocide memorial site at Gisozi and also catch a glimpse of the local markets in Rwanda.

Day 1: Kigali city tour and transfer to Volcanoes National Park
After breakfast early in the morning, you will be picked by our experienced driver guide at the hotel and set off for Rwanda genocide memorial site at Gisozi and later local markets. After you will have lunch and then proceed northwest to Volcanoes National Park in Ruhengeri, a home to the rare mountain gorillas. Arrive at the lodge in the evening for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay at Mountain gorilla view lodge or Le Bambou Lodge or Muhabura Hotel.

Day 2: Mountain gorilla trekking and return to Kigali
Following breakfast early in the morning, you will be transferred from the hotel of your choice to the park headquarters for early morning briefing from the park official on dos and don’ts of gorilla trekking in the jungles. You are expected to be with all your trekking gear and drinking water ready to hike through forest to look for a group of fascinating mountain gorillas. After, return to Kigali, arriving in the evening early enough for your scheduled flight back home or transfer to your hotel in Kigali.
