The two days gorilla safari to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park starts from Kigali airport, where you will drive through either the Cyanika border post to southern Bwindi in Rushaga sector or start from Kigali City and drive via Katuna border post to Ruhija sector in the Northern region of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park. All this depends on the presence of gorilla permits in either regions of the park.
Mountain Gorilla Tracking is the Highlight of a Visit to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. Tracking Gorillas can last from a Few Hours to a whole day depending on how far the group has moved. Bwindi Impenetrable has 15 Habituated Gorilla groups that are tracked from the trail heads in Buhoma , Ruhija, Nkuringo and Rushaga or the Nyakagezi Gorilla Family in Mgahinga National Park.

After your early morning breakfast, you will be picked by our experienced driver guide from your hotel of choice in Kigali where you will cross over to Uganda via Katuna Immigration border point to the northern side of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park. A long the way, you will catch a glimpse of spectacular sceneries. This will take you about three hours. You will spend a night over Gorilla Safari one of the up market lodges, Gorilla Mist Camp-mid range or Bakiga Lodge for budget.
Day 2: Gorilla trekking and return to Kigali
Breakfast early in the morning at your hotel and after you will head towards the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park headquarters for an early morning briefing on the rules and regulations for gorilla trekking. The trek will take you about 1 to 6 hours but this depends on the location of gorilla family that will be allocated to you as well as your speed and nature of terrain. You will spend only one hour with these magnificent apes in their natural habitat where you will take as many photos as you can as you also explore their behavior while in the wild. After your breathtaking adventure, you will be driven back to Kigali for your scheduled flight back home.
