Mountain Nyiragongo lies about 3470 meters above sea level in the Virunga Massifs 20 kilometers from Goma Town. It features as the world’s most powerful volcano with the largest and fiery Lava Lake. The 3 days Nyiragongo hike in the Democratic Republic of Congo is arranged to give you lifetime adventure to the world’s historical mountain together with amazing night on its summits. The tour will start and end in Kigali with optional boat cruise on Lake Kivu.

Day 1: Transfer from Kigali to Goma town
Following breakfast early in the morning and after embark on a safari to Gisenyi the largest lake in Lake Kivu towns which provides the most spectacular beach surrounding very ideal for relaxation and chilling while the spans of the Lake give a chance for you to engage in an exciting Boat Cruise. The boat cruise is an opportunity for you to catch a glimpse of the remarkable endless waters, several islands and overlooking Nyiragongo Mountain. After, you will return for lunch and after cross the Congo border to Goma town in the province of North Kivu. You will check in for dinner and overnight stay at Mikeno Lodge for Luxury, Bukima Tented Lodge for Mid range or Hotel Cape Kivu.
Day 2: Mount Nyiragongo hike
Early morning breakfast and after set off for the whole day hiking adventure to one of the few remaining most active and powerful volcanoes in Africa featuring the most smoky and largest Lava Lake. It stands at 20 kilometers from Goma Town east of Democratic Republic of Congo-Virunga National Park. This volcano mountain is credited to have erupted for over 40 times. Its eruptions comes with both positive and negative effects but it features most exceptional views during day and at night you will be filled with astonishing night reddish color as the volcano paints the skies with its smoky Lava Lake. After, you will have dinner and overnight stay at Nyiragongo Volcano Summit Shelters.
Day 3: Descent from Nyiragongo and drive back to Kigali, Rwanda
Following breakfast early in the morning and after descend down to the starting point. Upon arrival, the driver will be waiting for you at the base of the mountain, where you will be driven back to Kigali through Gisenyi.
