Following breakfast in the morning, you will be picked by our experienced driver guide from your hotel of choice in Kigali ready to set off to Cyangugu to the South Rwanda. The drive takes you via the spectacular landscapes of Southern Rwanda making a stopover in Nyanza to visit the royal palace called Rukaari, the royal home to the Kings Musinga and his successor Rudahigwa for extensive cultural touch along with another stop in Butare town for lunch and to learn more about the national museum of Rwanda which is noted one of the biggest museums in East Africa for more heritage experience. After continue to Cyangugu crossing to Bukavu Congo for rest dinner and overnight stay in Orchid Safari Lodge-Luxury, Hotel Horizon for budget travelers
Day 2: Eastern Lowland gorilla trekking in Kahuzi Biega National Park in DRC
Breakfast early in the morning and after you will set off to a historical adventure of tracking the lowland gorillas living in Kahuzi Biega National Park. The Lowland gorilla trekking is one of the exciting adventures that offers you a chance to catch a glimpse of these spectacular creatures. Kahuzi Beiga National Park offers refuge to about 250 lowland gorillas and about 2 groups have been habituated for your lifetime experiences. The trek may take about one to four hours. After, you will embark on nature walk around the park to explore the Tshibati falls with the stunning sceneries or exploring Bukavu town and the Mbayo tea estates. After you will return to the hotel for chilling, dinner and over night stay in Orchid Safari Lodge for midrange or Hotel Horizon for budget visitors.
Day 3: Return to Kigali
Following breakfast in the morning, you will set off to Kigali for your scheduled flight in Kigali International Airport and this will mark the end of your 3 days lowland gorilla safari in DRC.
